You remember when you were told by your mother to not touch anything?
And of course you touched everything, tried everything out and sometimes even broke things.
When your coworker takes a bathroom break, he clearly tells you not to touch anything. It`s a hard task concidering the big red button right in front of you. This is a remastered version of the mobile and steam game and it is developed by Escalation Studios and publish by Bulkypix. Playable on your chair, this game is perfect for immersion and should not provide any motion sickness or discomfort.
The environment is well designed, leaving place for many hints to be hidden all around the player. The graphics are very similar to style known from the hit “Keep talking and nobody explodes”. While some texture feel a bit grainy, there are so much details in the environment that you barely notice them. For example, we were impressed that they actually made the clock display your phone`s hour and did not realized the needles were kind of blurry. The small room also let place for many pop culture reference, such as a hidden Tri-Force or a reference to Back to the future. You won’t notice everything at first and everytime you progress, you will have access to more tools that can be used all around to find more clues.
Furthermore there are particles with a great 3D-effect flying through the air. All in all, the graphics are quite nice, nothing spectacular, but how should they when you are only sitting in a small room. The scale is done completely right, objects look realistically sized and are helping a lot getting immersed.
We know that the right sound is very important for getting immersed, so this should be done right for not destroying the illusion.
Ambiant sounds are okay, while some don’t seems to match the action completly, such as the screwdriver’s sound.
Pressing buttons sounds satisfying tho and because you are pressing them quite often, this is an important thing.
The music can become quite repetitive after a long time of puzzling.
Without any further indication, pressing the button seems like the only option. It will reveal a switch, but this switch only seems to nuke the planet. So what’s left to do? That’s what you will have to figure out by yourself over and over again. Please don’t touch anything is a multipath brain puzzle where you have to touch everything and find out clues to reach the end of a puzzle, and most likely of earth as well. To do so, you will use the touchpad to click on everything you can see in the room. It might sound dull, but it isn’t if you like brain teasers games. Finding a new path, a new object, and new buttons is satisfying and every steps brings a more challenging step. Think you have found the right combination for a puzzle? Think again, because some paths uses the same buttons, but with a different combinations.
You can normally find the solution by thinking, but sometimes experimenting helps and when you find the solution then, you are feeling stupid because the solution was under your nose all the time. On the other hand, succesfully solved puzzles let you feel like the next Einstein, so that should motivate you.
And if you simply cannot find the solution, the web is here to help. This game has been out for PC and mobile for quite a while. They have changed a lot of things in it tho. The graphics are completly revamped and the riddle-design is different. Also there are some new puzzles to solve. So feel free to discuss solutions for some riddles under this article.
We are really damn sure, that we haven’t discovered all the secrets and hidding objects in this game, despite already playing it for several hours.
The curiosity of pressing button to see whats happening is insatiable and I had times, where I was not able to get out of VR because I wanted to press this one button and then the next and the next and the next. Also nearly always something cool is happening from it. This combination makes it such a pleasing experience that you will have a lot of fun with it.
The games fun comes not only from the basic mechanics and the many puzzle it offers but from getting to all the possible ending. When you reach one end, you get the corresponding sticker to this end.. Its surreal approach makes it interesting and intriguing at the same time. One of my favorite ending so far is the one that erase reality and leaves you face to face with the “All Seeing Eye”, a loud humming and whispers all around you. Another one is straight out of an horror movie where the wall bleeds. Will you be courageous enough to turn around and see what is lurking behind you? The puzzles and endings are different enough to have you hooked for a while, but the game could also be played in short sessions, making it the perfect game on the go. With over 25 endings, We’ve only come to scratch the surface with already a few hours of play. You will come back again and again if you want to find all the endings and uncover the true nature of that big red button.
So we definitely recommend touching the buy button on this if you are into puzzle games.
